Me performing Louis Ganne's Andante et Scherzo at the Seattle Flute Society Horsfall Competition. I competed in the lower division and recieved 2nd place for the performance. :D

The third page on was not the best I've done.... And I was sharp most of the time.... I thought I would have gotten lower than 2nd place haha.

This was back in 2008..... Good times.

  • Well, if I can find the book, I shall tell you.....

    *LOOKING FOR THE BOOK*

    AHA! Found it.

Start of page 3, yes I am. I am/was double tonguing in most, if not all of the 2nd half.

    Good luck to you!

  • oh man i'm playing this piece in 8th grade and my teacher let me listen to recording and you almost sound identical.

i'm so screwed for the exam XD.

  • Oh, why thank you. I have my flubs, but thank you. :)

I'm sure that you will do fine!

  • I've saw you alot in horsfall.

My flute teacher Eun Cho introduced you to me last year at Horsfall.

  • Really?

    I'm sorry, I don't remember. :P

  • Great piece! you play this almost perfectly! I'm playing it a little bit different but your interpretacion really helped me:)

  • Pretty pretty pretty! =D You sound pretty and you look fine x3..

  • I have never heard of this piece before but i love it. Great playing :)

  • it starts out a bit too fast for my taste... you sound out of tune in some parts. it should have more of a french style, i think, like more relaxed around 27. the trills should start slower and get fast. the ending notes of 62 and 63 sound like they shouldn't be clipped like that. other than that the cadenza was very good. i wish i could play the scherzo that fast :P i can't double tongue. your runs are pretty clean for the most part. that's what gets me.

  • Good luck!

I'm not really sure where to find a professional recording of this piece, but the iTunes Store would be a good plan. Sorry that wasn't much of a big help. :P
