ACTION OF PROTEST DEMANDING TO RESTORE EXPELLED STUDENT

A group of activist of "Dalga" youth movement held the action of protest in front of the Ministry of Sport and Youth demanding to restore the rights of Parviz Azimov expelled from Lankaran State University. Azimov was expelled last week for his articles "Corruption scandal in the Lankaran University" published in the "Janub Heberleri" newspaper and on the Qaynar.info site.
The picket participants demanded to stop arbitrariness and to restore Azimov in the university. The action participants were making physical actions. They called the Ministry to consider the problems of youth, and not only the problems of sportsmen. The picket makers passed a resolution of the action to the representative of the Ministry demanding to restore Azimov and to punish violating his rights. It was noted that similar appeal was sent to the President Ilham Aliyev too.
The action lasted for 15 minutes and there were not excesses. After the completion of the action police came to the Ministry. Similar action of protest will be held in the near future in front of Education Ministry. Azimov is a member of Dalga.
