Now that Obama has won: Dont let a big wealth transfer occur to quasi monopolies.


Now that Obama has won. I for one realized just how hopeless I had felt under Bush.

Even under Clinton, it felt like a very enlightened centrist rule,

But as Jerry Brown liked to say We the people" did not feel in the drivers seat

It was not the feeling of new deal democrats like my Grandfather, who went to WWII and then to the Federal Government and worked hard.

It was not the feeling of the antiwar and civil rights movement that the peoples voice was being heard and feared.

Now we Hope to have a revolution of hope. A revolution that makes America competitive and asserts leadership based on our ideals not our military or even economic might.

So what are we to do now ? Hope Obama does the right thing. Well, Cornel West said something I thought was very important that Obama needs us to organize and keep the pressure on as it were.

The central issue today is the economy.

The Government is transferring billions of dollars to companies that are too big to fail.

Car companies that for years have resisted the innovation to change.

What we need is smart regulation.

I have a business and I have a subprime mortgage at 10% interest.

Why is the bailout going to huge companies ?

Because its easy and they apparently still have power.

What have we learned ? Weve learned that regulation keeps capitalism regular.

But who will regulate the regulators
