After a successful hearing with little opposition against HB 2929, a bill that would tax and regulate marijuana in Massachusetts, bill author Richard M. Evans and National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws founder Keith Stroup rallied supporters on the steps of the Massachusetts State House.

  • "legalize debate"

What's is the meaning behind that statement?

I didn;t realize it was against the law to discuss marijuana legalization in the house/senate. I just thought it was a stigma..

  • I think the whole stigma thing was the point in that comment, the people spearheading this have been trying to get this hearing for 20 year. It was a really big success for those who have been around a long time.

  • @skaterboy508 it should be 21 like alcohal because of the same effects

  • Plenty of sensible people in America have been waiting for this issue to be blown out in the open to expose the hypocrisy of the stupid laws against cannabis. Legalizing will reduce the abuse of alcohol, pharmaceuticals and other deadly drugs, and stop sending American cash to illegal foreign cartels.

  • It's 21 in denver

  • wait so if they legalize it how old do u have to be to buy/posses pot is it 21 or 18?

  • not only would i love to be there i would also love to share my story with someone, please let me know if that is possable?

  • when is the next time this is going on? My friends and I would love to be there..

  • Before i even started studying more into this subject, I had noticed that anywhere in just the past 2-3 years Mj has became more socially accepted among different groups of people. I belive that within the next 5-7 years it will be legal.

  • Alright, ty..

I took what he said too literally..

He honstly believes it will be legalized in 5 years?

That seems too optimistic.. But maybe it is realistic, and I am pesstimistic :P
