Every Wednesday TDES is usually made at a hotel in Niseko called Saison Club. This time we did something different and went and did a vox pop (also called "man on the street") in Hirafu.
We asked random people near the Hirafu gondola -- as you can see, it really is "Little Australia". I was surprised to also find two Kiwis. And one American ... the same guy who I'd talked to on the bus a few days before.

  • Thanks! You learn something new everyday. And, by odd (?) coincidence, I met a guy last night who has visited there.

  • It means "a river toward the ravine" in Ainu language.

  • Beer in vending machines, awesome.
