when I was a kid Eddie Heywood would occasionally show up here on Martha's Vineyard and he would give concerts in the tabernacle and the music would drift through the warm night air..a wonderfully talented man

In 1945, Billy Berg brought the Heywood band to L.A. to play his Vine Street club for a month. They wound up staying a year.
