The entrance of trail 40 is assessable either by crossing the creek or coming out from the staging area. just after the creek crossing you will see a left, this takes you either to a a tight single track back to m-5 or up to white face , a black diamond ,which is challenging but do-able . Just stay to the right and trail 40 will follow the ridge to the heliport on m-5.
