Alexiou was born in Thiva, a city 70 km from Athens. Her grandmother was from Asia Minor.

Since in the rolong text we refer Kaldaras & Theodorakis, we should mostly refer to the 2 TOP collaborations of Alexiou: Manos Loizos (70s and album in 1979) & Thanos Mikroutsikos (80s and albums in 1986,1990).

Also her live collaboration with Hadjidakis in 1987 was equally remarkable to Theodorakis' one.

There is a Thebes in Egypt, but not in Asia Minor.

Alexiou is from Thebes, Greece (N.W. of Athens). The modern name is Theba (pronounced theva).
