I think you've got a Florida Peninsula Cooter there. I have the same kind of turtle. Mine was a rescue - he was far away from any water just hanging around in some leaves looking dehydrated. He's very happy now though.

@NONOo376 as long as it has a basking/land area and a proper heat lamp how is it "too much water"? it's an aquatic turtle. they are naturally found in ponds which are way bigger than that tank
