rFactor 2 Beta | Renault Megane At Mills | Dry Line/Damp Track

Testing out the rFactor 2 beta. It has so much potential! The dynamic weather in this game is fantastic. When I recorded this, the track was damp, but a dry line was forming as we lapped, so I took a gamble and went out on slicks.

Also, notice how the track gets darker and lighter as the clouds roll over, it is seriously awesome!

The graphics on my machine are not looking fantastic at the moment, but I expect things to be much better optimized by the time the game is released. Also, my PC is not so great anymore!

A small little crash at the end for your entertainment.

Can you change your driver's hands? I can imagine I could mind the skeleton gloves.

You can't at the moment, but I imagine that like car skins, it's easily changable. When rF2 is released I hope there will be many gloves and helmets to choose from :)

It may be just me but when you lift off the throttle, the sound of the engine is cut off too suddenly, it's like it's on/off.

Not to start a irrelevant debate of who's better but how does it compare to iRacing in term of feelings ?

@Duron13 Hey mate. To start off, this is certainly more of an "Alpha" than a "beta". There is a LOT of new features and WIP stuff to be done. Also, as I am sure you know, I really do like iRacing also. But, for me, rFactor 2 is the new king. Even in this early stage, the physics are amazing. The tyre flex, dynamic weather, new features, all of it, is absolutely outstanding. In 6 months time, when rFactor 2 is fully finished, there is no doubt, I will not want to play any other sim. :)

I am having a lot of trouble feeling the rear end of the cars, especially in the Formula Renault. By the time I sense its going it's already too late.

Can you finally correct over-steer? My friends and I didn't like rFactor 1 very much cause no matter what mod you were playing or what you did, once you started sliding. The game would not let you correct at all and you just slid off. Hope they fixed that in 2

You haven't done any ArmA 2 videos in a long while. That's a shame because I think you're the best ArmA 2 video maker I've seen. Not that I wouldn't enjoy your driving simulator videos too.

I really love this game. The feedback you get from the road is amazing. You literally feal every pebble on the street. I am really looking forward finally receiving my new fanatec :-D. Maxed out graphics look quite decent, but you can see that ISI focused on physics. The only thing I do not like so far is the net code. If there are more then 10 cars on the server it is really laggy. Currently it wouldnt be possible to run serious league races. Anyway... Spa in a 60's F1 is a blast!!! :-D
