How to make pepper steak pies...very easy

puff pastry
1 kilo gravy beef or chuck steak DO NOT USE EXPENSIVE OR GOOD STEAK BECAUSE IT WILL BE DRY
2 carrots
3 potatoes
2 beef stock cubes
splash soya sauce
ground black pepper...use this to taste

GRAVY
3 tablespoons plain flour
dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
mix to a pourable lumpless mixture to thicken stew with later

footnote: you can use this recipe to make Steak and Mushroom pies just replace potatoes with mushrooms...
or
you can have steak and vegetables just add some chopped veggies of your liking at the same time you add your potatoes and a cup full of frozen peas ...yum

  • @mikepovey1990 im sorry but in the culinary world that deffenetly matters! meat should have its own cutting board wather its fish or lamb or beef! but this is a home cooking show and not a restaurant so i do see where ur coming from, u just risk contamination

  • @JazzNaySean its red meat so it doesn't matter

  • @toxicproductions100 sounds new zealander to me

  • are you south african?

  • Dont cut vegetables on your meat cutting board!!!

  • I love pies,i will make one now, cheers from sydney

  • WOW how interesting, NOT. Who care's what you do.......

  • Your mention of buying cheaper meat and preparing it yourself made me think of something I do regular.

I buy a big cheap turkey joint which is a big chunk of terribly cut meat with sinew hence the price but the meat itself is very good. I cut out the sinew with chefs scissors then slice most of it into 120g/4oz portions, what doesn't make nice steaks I dice. I then bag the steaks individually and freeze them and the same with the diced meat too.

  • I love these cooking videos of yours. This is your niche. "What does that look like, about a tablespooon I suppose" LOL love the way you measure.
