There is some stupid editing in this video. A large bit of Hendrick's scat solo is cut. Probably to save time. :(

  • Count Basie in NOT sitting in the front row, he's right there playing that piano...!! Listen carefully, who else could that be...?

  • BREAK-KNEE BREAK-KNEE BREAK-KNEE 2:47

  • ....the hell I watch this for

  • That's some audience, with Count Basie and Tony Bennett in the front row.

  • The music that LHR created back then is still just as great now as it was then. There is a reason that they called them the Hottest New Group In Jazz, because they still are. None of these current highly-hypèd singers like Diane Krall and Jamie Cullum are even close to them in talent, chops or hippness. LHR were the real McCoy and don't forget that both Annie Ross and Jon Hendricks were individually stellar performers outside of the group. Compared to them everyone now is just a wannabee.

  • @JazzWithoutANet Yeah, but he seems to be looking at the band, or someone else, all the time instead of at LHR, which I find strange since he should have been checking them out to see how he could improve as a singer. They were way above him in talent.

  • LOVE IT !!!

  • Best conversation ever!!!

  • The Best!!!!

  • @DrumTchr Tony Bennet is at 1:20 on Twisted.
