Dean Marilyn Flynn presents an event celebrating the newly established presence of Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging in the USC School of Social Work and the institutes newly hired director William A. Vega. Also presented was the inaugural Pearmain prize, awarded for excellence in research on aging, to Dr. Kyriakos S. Markides who also delivered the Memorial Lecture. Speakers included: USC Executive Vice President and Provost C.L. Max Nikias, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard, Director William Vega of the Edward R. Roybal Institute on Aging, Dean Marilyn Flynn, and Dean Jack Knott.
