No matter who you are
No matter where you work
No matter how you identify
No matter how you flirt
No matter what you wear
No matter who you choose to love
No matter what you said before:

NO ONE has the right to touch you without your consent. SlutWalk NYC is part of a worldwide grassroots movement challenging rape culture, victim-blaming and slut-shaming*, and working to end sexual and domestic violence.

  • I suppose with any topic there will always be those who do not agree. I appreciate you feeling you can voice your opinion in this public setting, but the way you are speaking just encourages women like me (and those at SlutWalk NYC) to keep marching and voicing out opinions louder. Perhaps not seeing the way women dress as black and white is something you should examine personally.

  • If the woman at 1:30 truly believes that she should not hold any responsibility at all for what she wears in public, why isn't she topless? It is legal in NY. Serious. Why do we dress differently for funerals, weddings, work, bar settings? Is it because we understand that we will be judged somehow by what we wear? Is this logic to be thrown out when a woman goes to the bar? If diving and you know not all fish in the ocean are sharks but you know sharks exist, do you shower yourself in blood?

  • off with their brainless heads, no wonder divorce rates are at 70%

  • ill rape those sluts first chance

  • Rape has nothing to do with how a woman is dressed. How she's treated, you bet your sweet ass. Everyone does it! Would you wear a g-string and teddy to apply at a corporate office? No, it doesn't reflect your professionalism. Don't dress like a sex object the media seems to be grooming young women to be, and you won't be treated like one. It's possible to enjoy sex and leave something to the imagination!

  • Fact of the matter is, the way a woman dresses has nothing to do with whether she is raped. 40% of rape cases are against minors. Many are children. 3 out of 4 cases are done by people who are *close* to the victims, often relatives. It is not typically the women or little girls who have been provocative. It is the men who are sick bastards who victimize whoever they can get their dirty hands on.

That said, don't dress like a slut and get sloshed amongst strangers. You're asking to be a victim.

  • You guys are idiots. Mabye you should put some clothes on and educate yourself instead of objectifying yourself? I don't see how women saying "oh look I'm a sex object I have no brain" is empowering. Yes rape is wrong and women shoudn't be blamed. but the slut walk is illogical and makes no sense whatsoever. Mabye take a lesson in logical thinking?

  • @notofthisw0rld Cont..... I wonder if after something so horrible readjusts your entire life, and existence whether you will develop a neuronal link enough to call a brain, and begin to be able to consider a situation and perspective outside of your current situation. The world wonders.

  • @notofthisw0rld it will be interesting to see how you feel, when you are raped, dressed in your conservative outfit, sober, virginal and screaming, and they call you a slut, your friends leave you, the assult center tells you, you have no case because you weren't a nun, on CCTV in the middle of the day with witnesses and you didn't get shot attempting to prevent the situation. I wonder how you will feel about such a simple and powerful movement, and why it has been as popular as it is. ...

  • @notofthisw0rld im afraid you don't understand what this walk was about, i invite you to do some research on what it really means to be a slut and the walk, and how no matter how a person dresses is not an excuse to disrespect them.

  • To: notofthisw0rld - once again you show how ignorant you are, stop commenting on Slutwalk.. Get a life and leave those who are fighting for a cause be..
