In Toronto, Canada, the regulation is, "Open air burning shall not be permitted unless approved, or unless such burning consists of a small, confined fire, supervised at all times, and used to cook food on a grill or a barbecue." That is why if someone wants to make a fire in Toronto, they should have a small package of hot dogs or some bread with them, even if they don't intend to cook them. Many parks in Toronto have open fire pits where you could easily get a permit to have a big bon fire.

the filipinos are very hospitable they just want their guest to be pleased. you should be very grateful and please and learn to get along with them and be open minded.

same here in germany you can't just simply do cooking outside the house or burn something outside the house coz in a minute or two the police would come. but i just hope you have eaten what they cooked i'm sure its delicious.
