In January of 2006 I was trying out the video on my new digital camera. I said to Bob, "Say something memorable." As was typical of Bob's conversation, in one lucid stream he began with his ever present memory of Arlen, and then made the free flowing connections to one of his favorite writers and then to one of his favorite fictional characters.
"Nothing matters save the quality of the affection.
Dove Sta Memora.
That's from Pound's Pisan Cantos,
by way of Cavalcanti,
on whom Dr. Hannibal Lecter
happens to be an expert, by the way.
A weird coincidence, isn't it."

  • I love Wilson's work - he taught me to think in novel ways.

  • @TheJohnnyDanger I don't think I misread your comment, nor do I think you weren't clear. Your comment above states "He died July 11 2007." because I just copied and pasted it into those quotes. Of course, above all of this it states "Linked Comment" and I have no clue as to what that is referring to except that maybe this is all being fed to a different location on the intertubes and leading to a misunderstanding. It still baffles me. I am at a YouTube video in the comments section under it.

  • @solomonopoly I think ya misread my comment. Or, I wasn't clear. I know he passed on Jan 11 2007. He is still missed greatly.

  • @TheJohnnyDanger The part of me that exhibits OCD symptomology forces me to correct you. Forgive me. =P But Bob died one week before his 75th Birthday, on January 11, 2007. I remember the day well. We had all been raising money just a few short weeks/months before this time, in an attempt to help out with medical expenses. On the blog and website, a family member was making note about the 1-1-1 significance. But he will be missed no matter what date he left/entered. Hail Eris! AUM. HA.

  • whomever the trio is that dislikes this, you will be hunted in the streets !!

  • what an amazing inspiration for thinking outside the box. No cult agenda, just thinking outside our reality tunnels constructed by our consciousness developed through society and our own autonomy manipulated.

  • Oh my dear....we miss you

  • He died July 11 2007. Or, passed into another dimension however you'd like to view it. Amazing man.

  • He died July 11 2007.

  • Oh, man! I'm crying!

Rest in Peace, RAW. Eris be with you!
