This fire was the 2nd fire these guys had that morning, they were all pretty tired from the job before this one. Also As I understand they crews were out installing smoke detectors when they got this run. If your not on the job you really have no business commenting on something you have no clue about. For those on the job I hope I cleared up a few thing... No I was not there

slow and safe is better than a quick casualty

@SuperLaw911 Fire was out in like 10-15 minutes and water was put on fire within 1 minute of being on-scene

you know what i don't understant is that Y is it that in almost every vidoe i see of firefighters putting out fires it seems like they are taking thier precious time meanwhile the fire only gets worse. for example these guys didin' even have thier SCBA's on yet. here were i volunteer all of us arrive to the scene prepared, with SCBA's on and everything and we don't take our precious time.

Why was the fire attacked from outside. I wasn't there, but it seems as though you could of made entry and kept from pushing the fire into the house. Just wandering what the conditions were.

@LilDillon587 You only criticized ME but not my comments.
Show me where anything i said was wrong.
Was it OK to fight this fire from the OUTSIDE?
Don't know if anyone was inside or not but ANY dept knows this type of action will potentially scald or burned victims inside.
This will also push the smoke and hot gases back into the building.
Also fires are fires no matter where they occur.
It's good tactics that define a good dept, not the name of the dept.

wow 25mfd didnt know u ran more fire then the bmore city guys do!!! tell us more sence u r apparently gods gift to fighting fire... get on the level of the BCFD and then maybe u can talk!!!!!!!!

I'm more surprised that they would put water on the fire from the OUTSIDE.
Now, to a certain extent, this could be considered exposure protection but a fire of this type is NORMALLY extinguished from INSIDE.
Getting BEHIND the fire from the inside pushes the fire, smoke and hot gases OUT of the building and away from potential victims trapped inside.

if yall knew anything about firefighting youd know it takes alot of time seting up lines and stoping these ton trucks from rolling down the hill
-
wow none of yall know nothing about firefighting. go comment on what you know about and stay out of what you dont know.
Thanks for all the comment's but let me just clarify a few things
-1 This was a elder's city workers home of 35yrs not a crack-head
-2 The fire started from kitchen from an unattended grease pan
-3 I " the camera man" was not the one commentating, that is a relative of the homeowner
