New Hot Spring at Mammoth 01-01-2009

This is a brand new steamy-hot spring that has leaked out on side of the road at Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park. This may be from recent earthquake activity.

Springs popping up all over Yellowstone isn't really shocking, actually completely normal. Though very interesting to see.

lol its just hot sulfur water. After the video clip I filled a bottle full of it. Smells like hard-boiled eggs :)

Yellowstone Earthquake Jan 9, 3.3- The LKWY monitor is not working????

Yellowstone, 11:17 am local time, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded. It was recorded on every monitor in the park. Except one. The monitor LKWY did not register the quake. Why? Also, the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology webicoders LKWY seismogram graph shows a huge gap in readings today. Why? The LKWY has a gaps in the data on Jan 4,5,following the swarm.
