I have a carbon microphone on my desk- I made it myself, from an old Telex radio mic. The transducer itself came from an early-70s WE Trimline phone.

This show is pure genius!
& Phil Hendrie is incredible!!! In short you know your dealing with a genius when a person creates a cool radio program and instigates conversations involving fictitious persons,who are all one in the same person,involving clueless people talking about inflammatory & provocative topics and not getting anywhere with the people/person you are talking too. besides being a great way to kill a few hours on a 3rd shift it's pure genius!

You have a point, but what I found funny were the reactions of other people to arguments that actually make sense. e.g. a guy who saved the son of a wealthy doctor wanted a reward...why the hell not. Ppl called, outraged arguing he should just settle for the altruistic nature of the act, which is ridiculous when you think about it IMO. The topics ranged from utter stupidity to meaningful arguments and intended to represent social satire. This is what many people appreciate.
