Heres a pretty quick tutorial showing you how to get through the Hospital area on the New Alexandria mission of Halo: Reach using a Banshee. Very fast, easy once you get the Banshee and as long as you do it right, and no enemies you need to deal with.
Pre-emptive FAQ:
Q: WHA? Thats not Legendary! Those Banshees are much harder than that to Hijack!
A: Actually it is Legendary. As you can see from the stats ( http://www.bungie.net/stats/reach/gamestats.aspx?guid=1637084048268707377 ) to the rendered film ( http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=13840768&player=Ul... ). I simply got really lucky that those two Banshees were so cooperative. Yes, ordinarily they are much harder to hijack than that. Believe me; I know.
If you can't do the sky-jack, grab a jetpack from the Vyrant Tower (Club Errera, with the Hunters) and park your Falcon on one of the highest rooftops. Wait for a Banshee to fly overhead, Jetpack up and hijack it.
Alternatively, grab a PP (either from Vyrant or from the sleeping grunts just inside the hospital) then go up to one of the high roofs and overcharge a Banshee down and hijack it.
Q: Wait, what happend?
A: After destroying the Jammer and getting back into the Banshee, the game thinks that you must be back outside (since you're in a vehicle). So it begins de-loading the Hospital area to make space for the rest of the mission. If you get OUT of the Banshee in time, a safety-net (likely intended for co-op) will activate that will teleport you back outside as the geometry is removed around you. You MUST get out of the Banshee otherwise you'll get stuck and will be unable to move.
Q: Can I do the hospital this way in any order?
A: For the teleport to work, the hospital MUST come as your first or second objective. NOT your last. If its your last objective, the hospital WILL NOT fully deload after you get in the banshee and you will NOT get teleported. Getting back in the banshee locks the doors to the landing pad and you'll be trapped inside.
Q: So what do I do if the hospital is my last objective?
You may still use the Banshee to get TO the jammer, but after you activate the jammer DO NOT get back in your Banshee. Instead, WALK back out to the landing pad. Doing this means you'll skip the majority of the enemies in the hospital (all the Brutes, and the Elites and Skirmishers) but you will still have to deal with the enemies that initially spawned in the stairwell. There are only a few Jackals and Grunts as well as the Engineer so if you know what you'd doing they shouldn't pose too much trouble.
I, myself, have managed to get through these few enemies on every difficulty.
Q: Can I do this in co-op?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: How did you find this?
A: I didn't. cyph9r of the HighSpeedHalo.net forums did and described it in a post there. I simply replicated it and made a tutorial. Go ask him if you want to know how he found it.
Q: What difficulties can you do this on?
A: Every difficulty. Its easier on the lower difficulties but as I demonstrated in this video, its possible even on Legendary with All Skulls.
Q: Ugh, I have to wait 30 seconds for a new Falcon?
A: Actually you don't! I just learned from cyph9r that you can call a Falcon before you go into the hospital (while you're shooting off the wing of the Banshee) and it'll be waiting for you when you get back! How cool is that?
Q: OMG the freaking door squished me and the Banshee!
A: The hospital door only stays open for infantry, so when you're in the vehicle it closes rapidly. Thats why I got really close, activated the opening of the door, and sped through as it was still opening. If you're really having trouble, and you have cowbell on, you should be able to punch the banshee through the door without destroying it, then get in.
Q: Dats some cool music dawg. Where can I get me some like that?
A: As I noted at the end of the video, the track is called 'Under Cover of Night' and it appears on the soundtrack to the 2001 video game 'Halo: Combat Evolved.' Either buy the game itself for Xbox or PC, or you can buy the soundtrack in CD form from many retailers.
Q: OMG! Something went wrong! You jerk, you mislead me!
A: Sorry but, I guarantee you that I have failed in more ways, in more frustratingly ridiculous ways, more times than you ever have in Halo. You cannot expect to do this your first time: PRACTICE!

@tannerb12121212 Well you clearly didn't read the description where I clearly state that it won't work if the hospital is your last objective so I don't feel sorry for you...

@tannerb12121212 Someone who wants to succeed?
It takes less time to read it than it did for you to fail.

i tried this for an hour and i still could not hijack the banshee it kept flying away right when i was gonna hijack it

@xXTheGoonSquadXx grab a jetpack and PP and go up to the top of the hospital tower. It's easier to hijack from there.
