Indie music is not a 'product', never has been, if anything it's a 'product' of the 80s/90s. Listen to Pixies, The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Of Montreal or early Modest Mouse if you want proper indie that isn't from the 00s... you probably won't though, because you sir, are a conceited fuck.
