Friday September 16, 2011, NAACP, along with Amnesty International, the National Action Network and many other allies will hosted a march and prayer vigil to stop Troy Davis's execution and move for clemency.
After the march Ben Jealous, President NAAACP joined with Larry Cox, Executive Director of Amnesty International, Rev. Al Sharpton, and Rev. Dr. Raphael Gamaliel Warnock of Ebenezer at a rally at the Ebenezer Baptist Church to continue shining a light on the appalling injustice that Troy Davis is facing. Concerned citizens came from neighboring cities and states to march for Troy Davis.
The video captures the march and speech held before the prayer vigil.

@thDICTATOR Racist? Blacks and whites testified, blacks and whites on the jury convicted him. his friends testified against him. His freinds turned him in to begin with. his friends identified him as the shooter two times that night. People testified to the clothes the shooter was wearing. The same clothes that troy davis was wearing. Thank god the court system worked and took this heartless murderer off the streets before he could kill more innocent people in front of his friends.

Everybody at the march should have worn blood spattered shorts so that it would not have been such a big deal that troy davis had shorts with the murdered mans blood on them.

Troy Davis did not head north to heaven. All murderers go to hell. If your looking for Troy look to the devil, not to god.

I prayed for him and I asked the Lord to tell me something about him and I opened my bible to John 19: 5-7 --> What I understand from this is that "the leading priests and Temple guards" (USA system) want to kill him because they have a law..."By their law he ought to die wherever he is guilty or not. But don´t worry, even if he dies today, he is still in Gods hands" (God told me I should pray for him although I didn´t know he´s a christian) That´s HIS plan, and HIS plan is always perfect!

Troy Davis attorney faught to have the shorts he was wearing that night excluded from the trial. Funny how a cop is killed with a man stradling over his body and there is blood spatter on his shorts... On the same night as the murder? Cooincidence? Oh Please!!! It just so happens another dude was in the area shooting a cop while Troy was on his shooting/pistol whipping rampage... Gosh that silly little bit of cooincidence once again...
