I remember crying so much when it was aired. From then on I never enjoyed a Robin Hood episode... Marian made it for me, I think that's why the series died eventually :( sad sad times

This is the point when a perfectly good show was ruined forever in the name of "drama". Carter's death I can get over but this is fucking disgraceful. Shame on you BBC.

The title is misleading. Marian didn't break Guy's heart. In this episode it becomes clear that he doesn't love her. She told him that she would willingly marry him if he killed the Sheriff and saved the King. Instead he decides to go with the Sheriff and plans to FORCE her to marry him later.

I CRIDE MY GUTS OUT SO HARD FOR THIS

Hate to say it but she was just asking for it. How heartless can you be to say it like that? No wonder she doesn't bleed.

@xsuzheartx 12th century.

poor choice of words she would rather die? oh... looky here she did
-
why didn't she strike up a convo and say she'd marry him willingly if he didn't kill the king ? it would have at least made him stop and think

Some of these comment make me sick.
Marian deserved to get stabbed because she didn't love a man who burnt down her house, continually lied to her face, punched her father in front of her, and forced her to go to the Holy Land against her will?
Puke.

i know loads of people have complained about what marion said, but i can understand why she did it.
i think marion knew she was going to die as soon as she saw guy. i mean, lets face it, she knew she was on her own, no one was there to protect her or help her and she knew she was the only barrier between the king and guy.
i reckon she was trying to buy time for the others to get there and if that meant sacrificing herself, then so be it.
