My dad worked out with Bob at Hartford Barbell in the 1970s. Later on Bob asked my dad to be his workout partner and they worked out 2-3 times a week at either Hartford Barbell or in our basement in Bloomfied. Bob was something else. I've got a photo of him with a Clean/Jerk world record he did at Hartford Barbell around 1973.
Doubtful his training had all the more modern advantages of more recent sports science. So, his results would have been higher with those advantages.
