The Global economy has changed the way Americans eat - bananas from El Salvador, apples from Chile, and Shrimp from China.
In today's world, we can have virtually any food, any time.
But some say there's a potentially dangerous side to foods from other countries because of pesticides and fertilizers.
The worry has started a new trend called "Eating Local" - eating only food that is grown within a 150 mile radius of where you live.
Supporters of "Eating Local" say not only is the food fresher, but they also know exactly where its comes from.
Medical dietitians say while eating seasonally and organic can be better on the body, it's important to plan a season ahead to can and freeze fruits and vegetables for the wintertime.
A number of programs exist in Northcentral Wisconsin that provide locally sourced fruits and vegetables.
