@MrJweazy1979 It's totally different type of fat. Some fats can actually help your heart - oils tend to have the type that clog your arteries.

Life changing advice. Read his father's book Preventing and reversing heart disease, read Dean Ornish's books read The China Study.

What;s his reason for using fatty foods like walnuts but not olive oil?
-
Yep, he absolutely loses me on the oil part. Olive oil has been proven time and again to help and not hurt your heart. The problem with rip is the same problem with low carbers only instead of bastardizing all carbs he's bastardizing all fats. Yes sat fats and trans fats are not our friends, but other fats are. I also laugh at how he makes 120 calories seem like a million. 120 is not much at all.

Far from it, he's giving genuine life-saving advice. It does take a bit to get used to cooking without oil, or not eating dairy, meat and eggs, but the science and the results are irrefutable. I was raised with the "great American diet" too...one of the people who thought that I could NEVER give up cheese, esp. but following the whole food plant-based way of eating is changing my life.

Starting a stir fry with water works just fine for me. And, like he said, you can start with wine or carrot juice, if you don't like using water. If it's burning, maybe the heat is too high?
