God brought more then just rain my way. More like a couple of tsunamis. But I would go through them again because of what He taught me. That's what it took to take me where I needed to be - on my knees, laying my life at His feet. Until then God was distant, now He's close. Before His promises seemed weak, but now they are strong; I only cried out to Him when I was in need, now I talk to Him all the time; fruitless, now fruitful. Let me first say that God believes religion is horrible as well, as most are deceived away from doing what is in the bible. Jesus himself had little patience for the religious of His day, and would do no different today. However for those that don't know the truth, He is longsuffering (patience on steroids), wanting you to repent from your selfish ways. There's only one way into heaven, and that is to give Him your life, in exchange for doing what He's created you to do. Simple, but few do it.

I could name a million things he does wrong, but you WILL contradict all of them. Take for example me, I'm gay, I believe in gay rights and I believe that homosexuality is okay and I also believe that religion is wrong and horrible in almost every way. Why does god let me stay around being the horrible, ugly sinning son of a bitch I am? Explain that? And don't give me that shit "God works in mysterious ways" explain with logic. If you can Joshua.

Hey that's cool if God Almighty feels the need to judge me, I'm not going to Judge him for all the horrible things he does. And if I had to choose between having a good, fun life full of love and happiness and then eternity in hell or a life full of rules and restrictions and then eternal life in the Golden walk ways, I'd choose hell because "the sinners are much more fun" But hey man, you have your beliefs and I have mine.

If your desire is to truly follow after God and His ways, then you need to know that the bible is very clear in it's teaching that homosexuality is a sin that God has to judge. Lev 18:22-28, Rom 1:26-27, Jude 1:7, and 2Pet 2:4-9 all are scriptures worth studying. The bible is also very clear that the only way we make it to heaven is to surrender our life, and serve God (Matt 10:39). If we continue to live for ourselves and not for God, we're not His children (Rom 8:1-15).
