You can't argue with budget priced 45 ACP defensive power. :)

  • is it reliable with JHP rounds. Can you shoot +ps as well

  • @saturnfanatic It will handle +P loads. JHP rounds will feed better if you polish the feed ramp.

  • A custom 1911 is what you show your buddies on the range or at a BBQ; a Hi-Point is what you show some crackhead who's broken into your home at 3AM. :-)

  • @darkwriter77 People always laugh because I shoot Hi-Points....that is, they laugh until they see the tight groups I can get with these "POS" guns.

  • @millerusaf Indeed. Ugly, clunky, and less-than-ideal as they may be, I haven't seen another company out there that's successfully put out an equally effective pistol in this price range (and in adequate calibers). I just wish Hi-Point would make their magazine feed lips a little better on the C9, get rid of the "DeWalt drill battery pack" look on the mag base plate by making them flush-fit on the .40 S&W and .45 ACP models, and use standard Picatinny rails on all their pistols.

  • @darkwriter77 The "battery pack" sure is funny looking, but I noticed that it really helps with slamming a new mag home in a very very quick fashion. I think the battery pack design is another "function first" design for the Hi-Points.

  • I watched my dad's Hi Point .45 jam first shot out of the box. It still jam's at least once on every mag after being broke in and cleaned. His wife's 9mm Hi Point jam's every time it's used as well. If I'm in a hostile situation I want something reliable like my XD. Because my life is worth more than 150 Dollars.

  • you will worry about the laser when you get to be 50 yo or better.

  • @millerusaf yeah i was impressed with a high point i shot at the range. I was surprised.

  • I think I'd rather carry the highpoint then the sig, 9mm don't stop a perp with a shit. one hit with the .45 & the perp's in the dirt.

  • As long as it gets the job done thats all that matters i actually knows some people who have some 1911 colts that were 900 bucks and jam all the time and are not as accurate as my hi point,

  • Ive recently bought one of these,And im highly impressed with its performance and how accurate it was and to only be 150 bucks the only thing that does kinda suck is the weight but if thats the only issue, thats not even worth complaining about i would recommend this gun to anybody, And there are some mods you can do to this pistol to make alot better and there very simple upgrades.

  • I have the .45, the C-9 and the 995 TS 9 mm carbine. I bought after market high capacity mags and they work great. You can take the 9mm 15 round mag from the carbine and pop it in the C-9 pistol. How great is that!?? If they were crap, they wouldn't be sold out! Great video THANKS!

  • cant beat customer service :)
