Having danced this dance - about 35 or so years ago, it brought back fond memories. You did a beautiful job! It made me want to get back on my feet and try all over again!

Hi, How do you know when your ready for competitions? I started nearly a year ago and so far i know Fling, Swords, Sean Tribuas, Reel, Lilt and Flora?
Is that above average for someone who started less than a year ago or is it quite bad?

So the guy on the right left only because he kicked a sword ?? (I'm sorry I don't really know how these competitions work ! =S) Thats too bad, because I guess like in every kinds of dancing there are very few boys...?

@BritishItalian yea, he knew he got disqualified, so in a championship like this, there really was no point in wasting energy. True, women dominate most forms of dance, but highland dancing actually is a male form of dance... only in the past 100 years have women been allowed to highland dance. crazy right?!

Yes, he left because he kicked the sword. Poor Steve :( He really is a great dancer!
