  • Haven't read the book but I will definitely look for a copy. I worked in the industy from 1982 until 2001, and I definitely saw the deterioration.

  • Typical mental midgets from outside the industry telling us how much better it was before. But with the system we have now innovative and successful aviation companies can thrive whearas usless ones die out.

  • Read the 1984 book," Deregulation of the Canadian Airline Industry: a Charade" by York University Economics Professor Fred Lazar. Mr. Stanford and Ms. Nash are not the first to talk about this and won't be the last.

    There is a direct line between the ballot box and the bread box - and more recently "the black box".
