Montgomery G&P Hydraulic Elevator At Macy's At Valley View Mall

Riding the Macy's elevator at Valley View Mall Dallas TX the store is now closed down because it said on the Dallas Morning
News that Macy's was closing 9 stores and this was one of them

hey Alex, I just read on wikipeadia that this store restly closed. Do you know what its going to be next is another store going to buy the building? Or is it going to be torn down?

The elevator looks like it was from the 80's

Those buttons are Innovation, as the square ones were Montgomery but were not ADA compliant which means someone in a wheelchair could not reach them as at 21 seconds there is a sign says ask for assistance if you cant reach 48" but they fixed that by adding innovation buttons.

there was a macys at ross park mall that was torn down to build nordstom

I work at Macy's Downtown Store in St. Louis - it's in the historical Railway Exchange building - once the largest office building in the world and probably one of the 1st buildings with elevators (and escalators) - there are about 24 passenger elevators and 2 big freight elevators - I think I remember when I was a kid - some of them had elevator operators in them. Also, the escalators are very original.

the macys elevator at ross park mall used to be by the furniter gallery on the 3rd floor now its the girls section the furniter is now in a seprite building

it would be expensive but no offence but I was talking to Matt since he has been to alot of malls out of state and that he might want to see monroville mall but if you ever do go to Pennsyvania then stop by monroville mall but dont buy an exspencive plane ticket just to come to a mall
