Prototype - Kill Event 05: Street Sweeper *Platinum Medal*

I had uploaded this video but I wasn't satisfied with it so I deleted it and replaced it with this run.

Just like the previous kill events you have to annihilate a crowd of infected. The good news is that you don't have hunters hounding you so your main focus is to crush as many as possible efficiently. Like most runs I did on this event I would jump and dash to a group of infected. This time I went north to the crosswalk area and start working there using guess what... the street sweeper move (on PC basically a left click followed closely by a right click.. in this run I actually do one extra attack. If I hadn't of done that, with the time I saved the last street sweeper attack could of been counted).I make sure to kill as many as possible in the immediate area before jumping and dashing north to the next crosswalk area where they seemed to be lined up ready to die again.

If you notice I tend to go back and forth to the crosswalk areas because thats the pattern they seem to be spawning, I probably got lucky though. There are some events you can have put in your favor just by influencing spawning patterns and I think this was one of them. I improved close to 80 kills over the video I was going to post.

this video is not real if you have played the game before you should notice that the bar for the kills only has the lines through it AFTER you get that medal and in this video that is incorrect.

@XXPhantom117 No it's real, I re-recorded this event multiple times before posting. The very 1st thing I did when recording these video was record the introduction to the event separately. That way if I had to do an event multiple times I could splice in my best run without having to let the intro run through all the way. I did a complete run of the event with 269 but wanted a higher score before posting. Follow the kill count at the top right during the video I'm not insane enough to fake that.

Here's a very handy trick: Enemies only spawn where you *can't* see, so as to avoid obvious pop-ins. If you keep moving forward, you'll run out of things to kill quickly. But if you pan the camera downwards while killing, and jump back and forth, as it were, you'll end up with lots more zombies packed together. It's pretty much impossible without doing this.

fuck I am such a noob...i thought that you only had to kill the zombies with the red arrows on their heads...and i could only get like 170 points...after watching this video i got like 245 kills :P

Here's another tip: the game can only handle so many infected in area at one time, so while you may not get any points for killing the common infected you should still wipe out large groups of them as to make room for the special infected (the ones you kill for points) to spawn in. Use this tip to make the special infected spawn more often and in larger groups.

I dnt know how you did it dude but they ain't spawning like that for me :( you got luck in your game cause they all over the place in mine but the groups are more spread out further away making it harder to get to platinum...

Nice guide mate! Best I could get was 228 and got 303 first try after watching this... had no idea about the spawning thing!

Wow, this is pretty amazing. All the other tips didn't really help, but I was amazed at how many infected respawn in those spots when you're not watching them. I went from getting 241 TOPS before watching this video to 330. You rock!
