I wonder of a Yugo M48 would be just as capable? Fantastic shooting!! Love to see what these old, fine crafted rifles are able to do.

What scope mounts are on it? I have a GEW 98, spandau with trench magazine all imperial marking and a WWI bring back but some one put a redfield sight on it but incorrectly...I would appreciate if you could tell me what mounts, model etc you have so I canget the same...

I'm sure that would go to target even without a scope.

did you shoot through a road?

Awesome.

i want to see more people doing this kind of thing with cameras going at 2000fps.
as good as the video was, it would be awesome to watch the bullet inch by inch going towards the plate and ricochetting off.
i want to move to america now and buy guns and do it myself. fuck gun laws here in britain.

Nice shooting and nice rifle! Greetings from Germany.... ;-)

@GreatWhite85, That's necessarily not true. Yes, The rifle is most important on how tight the groups are going to be but, you have to take into account shooter error, right adjusments, windage, proper elevation, even if he's adjusting to the shot properly... Optics play a big role in how accurate a rifle is.

@escort72 Why? That makes no sense. A rifle that has 2" grouping @ 100 yards is going to have a grouping of 2" @ 100 yards, regardless of what you have on it. Optics don't decide how accurate a rifle is... the rifle does.

Never mess with Bolt Action Rifles! Their old yes but you do not wanna face the Taliban with a Lee Enfield, Mosin Nagant or K98K Mauser beyond 600m cause you head would just go pop with 1 shot from that distance with such guns.
You should have used a period scope, and then I would be impressed, new scope come on!

@escort72 The primary factor in not placing an era-correct scope on this is due to the fact that it had been pre-drilled, prior to me obtaining it, for modern scope mounts. I’m not interested really in punching additional holes in this rifle. I have chosen to leave it as-is.
