I've watched so many of your videos and when I saw this one, I really felt like laughing!....You keep saying that we've accepted "white dominance" , yet you've never even set foot here...you're basing your views on watching beauty pageants!? I consider myself attractive and I wouldn't be caught dead in a beauty pageant because it is a joke amongst girls of our race...If you did your research properly instead of watching youtube maybe you wouldnt be so misinformed.

@chocolatebooty81 Visiting and living here are two different things. I lived in the USA for six years and have formed my own opinions, but I keep them to myself because I'm not from there, nor did I grow up there. Even six years don't make me an expert on the USA.

Maybe focus on something closer to home

Many valid points,but remember,its a Western concept,therefore inherently Western biased.Please come and visit SA...some of your opinions will drastically change once you get to know the people.If you ask a rural or any strictly traditional Xhosa or Zulu woman to participate a pageant, you will be mocked...I think it's more of a culture issue that the African woman does not participate,plus the fact that it is not a huge an event in SA,it barely makes the evening news...our interests lie elsewhr

@chocolatebooty81 No what I'm saying is: To make an informed comment a mere visit (or several visits) does not provide you with enough of a frame of reference to make a general statement. To state a fact if I as a white person made the same comment that you did, but about black people it would have been racsism, so much for free speech. And for the record there has been a couple black Miss South Africa to date (I myself don't watch it), but a quick Goole search confirmed it.

First of it's spelled South Africa. Second how can you have an opinion about South Africa and what goes in South Africa when you sit safely across the ocean? In essence this whole post is racist not only towards white people, but also just about anyone that isn't black?

How is that for the pot calling the kettle black? You carry a chip on your shoulder, with that I or no one else can help you. How about talking about the corruption in the South African government, or the lawlessness?

I am saddened that far too many minority women have been affected by white beauty standards. I do not condone imposing white beauty standards on minority women. It is racist to perceive ethnic features as unattractive. Besides, I detest self-hate in all forms.
