Alfonso Orellana was the house guitarist at La Solea back in the late 1990s in Madrid, in this case 1998. Alfonso took on all comers in no-holds barred singing accompaniment, which is considered the most difficult of arts in Flamenco playing. This particular clip is of him accompanying Gerardo el Jayao in Bulerias. Experience tells him where the singer is going, technical virtuosity tells him how to accomplish it, and artistry guides the moment. This is one of those rare individuals that has complete control of his instrument.
