this tune im pretty sure is in open E, i just played my low E and it was the same note as his open top string (bottom), i use open e alot and this defo has the same sound, pretty sure no capo, hope this helps

@ngholden I cant offer much in exchange in terms of kurt vile tunes, but would appreciate sparking up a correspondence in regards to the other tunes you've worked out, Im afraid when it comes to altered tunings Im a novice. Maybe i know some tunes by other artists i could aid you with, i don't know, it sounds like your a good guitar player from what you've written so maybe not. Any way, i would appreciate any help with those kurt vile tunes you know, in the spirit of a music community. Thanks.

I promise I've tried for hours, but I can't seem to figure out how this is played, if anyone has any idea or a place to start please share. I've learned many of his songs and would be happy to share all my knowledge in exchange for the tools to play this old gem.
