BassmanMiller's 6 string bass - Schecter Stiletto Studio 6

One of my basses. This is my Schecter Stiletto Studio 6.

Tuned to B-E-A-D-G-C [standard]

Great bass, I love playing it. For the cost it has been very hard to find a 6 string that can compete with it. Great slap tone. It has a wide range of tones though. I could set it up to have a great metal/rock tone, jazz/funk tone, blues. I haven't really found a tone that I can't get with this bass. The dual active EMG-HZ's are great.

I usually play jazz/funk so having a good slap tone was very important to me.

The only thing that can be a bit stressful with the bass, is the spacing. If you are newer to slapping it can be difficult to accurately slap single strings due to the close spacing. With some practice though it's nothing.

The strings are set pretty damn low also [stock], it hasn't really effected my slap tone though. Having them set so low allows this bass to also be played very smoothly I find, no matter what style you play.. its like putting a warm knife though soft butter. Very very smooth. Like I said before, great bass a very affordable but still high quality 6 string.

I'll try to get a video of this sexy lady in action. My camera sucks, and the sound usually comes through really badly thats why I have not put up any bass playing videos as of yet. I will also get up more videos of my other basses/equipment as soon as possible.

great stuff man! love it! :) I"m a guitarist and play 8 en 7 strings. I really want a 6 string bass for deathcore/death metal etc., is this the best option for me compared to LTD's and the low end Ibanez basses? oh n btw does this bass weigh a ton?? I really really hope so because I HATE lightweight guitars.. :P

I;ve got this bass and I do all my recording with it and all my shows.

the only thing you have to watch is the weight and the balance of it.

@majed89 definitely the schecter. it has neck-through, 35 inch scale, and emg's as opposed to the 506 which has bolt on neck, 34 inch (floppy b) and bartolini's (which are still quite good but i tend to like the sound of emg's better)

thinking of buying a schecter 6 string bass with(passive set up)pick-up's-can sombody get back to me.....general performance/satisfaction/comfo­rt etc.....will i be doing the right thing......?

i can say right now that i do not play a 6 string bass. i want to tho. i play a schecter custom 5 bass and it sounds great. with ibanez bases i dont really like them. for me its probley because they come out way to skinny on the body and i dont really like that. i would say go with this.

thats what my choice came down too. I was upgrading from a little red Ibanez. I had crappy electronic/grounding problems witht eh Ibanez and I got a huge buzz so I eventually bought the schecter and I'm wicked happy with it. I would go witth the schecter but those higher-end ibanez basses are still pretty nice.
