All of the people freaking out about this and calling these people bad parents, need to calm down. You need to take some time to study cultures and religions that are not your own. I am a world religions major and have much of the Hindu faith. The use of the cobra is a particular type of devotion in Hindu. The cobras interaction with the child is considered a blessing. This is a defanged cobra used for religious ceremony, the child is not in danger.

I feel sorry for the snake for being both defanged and picked on, and for the baby for obviously being born to the world's most idiotic parents.

Lol, all the noobs making comments on bad parenting there.. seriously.. There's definately alot more 'bad parenting' out there done by concieted parents based on complete sheltering and transformation of brats out of their kids... These people obviously know what they're doing. They'd obviously know how to deal with snakes. A defanged and de-venomed cobra really is not doing any harm.

The fact that this is so uncommon obviously strikes alarm bells in most of us who've never even touched a snake

@ambrosialimein - I appreciate the info about what is actually happening in the video. But just like those you verbally slapped and I imagine just as the person that posted this wanted, I was horrified no one was rescuing the little baby. Glad it wasn't harmed and getting a good scare over nothing is what I pay for at the movies.
