He used to play behind the apartments where I used to live at in Austin. Talk about free entertainment. He was a genius. I wrote a poem about him after he died. I miss you Stevie

Played this as an encore when I saw him in Manchester, England in 1988. Two power failures during the show and he played for ages afterwards to make up for it. A great night, but I almost missed the last train home.
