@bennyfifty I don't see overpopulation. I see increase of population instead. Why? What is the ideal population of the Philippines? Our poor and unemployed fellow Filipinos from the provinces "overcrowded" the cities especially Manila. Now you see children on the streets but not all. I'll bet that there are more street children in Manila than in the provinces. Know why.

True - capitalism is a major cause of famine. But not the only. Overpopluation (in almost ALL countries) and meat-eating by those who DO eat too much meat are ALSO causes.

@mphello Except that is not true. A vast majority of the world's population consume little meat. The famines and food problems are caused by terrible governments. As well as capitalism. False. All meat-eaters, funny how you avoid the word omnnivore, know where meat comes from. They do not care because humans are omnivores.

The cost of food is so high because more than HALF the crops are WASTED feeding livestock rather than humans directly. Hence, meat-eaters KILL many more animals than vegetarians do, NOT just the pigs and cows and chickens whom they eat, but all those animals killed in tilling.

Vegetarians are the only ones who admit all the consequences of actions, while meat-eaters ignore them. We would not even be discussing this issue if vegetarians (me) had not brought it up.

@mphello Tilling the soil kills animal,. Havesting the crops kills animals, such as gophers, moles, toad, frogs, rabbits. And the pesticides use to keep bugs and such from eating your soon to be food. It also effects birds and bats who eat the bugs or get sprayed with the poison.

At least omnivores admit that they eat a living creature and do not let is death go to waste.

@mphello You have the right to say that and believe it.I have the right to say how stupid and wrong it is. You get over the fact that humans are omnivores and will eat meat. Also I am not going to change my diet to an unhealthy one just because a chicken is killed.

And what of the animals that die just so you can get your vegetarian meal on your table? I love how those are just ignored. I and other omnivores will eat meat regardless if crazed animal lovers say otherwise.

Doesn't matter how we got here today. And I'm not anthropomorphizing anything.

The pain the animals feel is infinitely worse than you eating a vegetarian meal.

Get over it. Meat is worse than molesting children and I have the right to say that and to believe that and to fight to outlaw both. And there are different political groups out there. Pro-vegetarian groups have the same right to fight for their cause.

@mphello And who are one of those people who equates unnatrual with good. Meat is not murder. you are applying human concepts to animals that are not human. Stop anthropomorphizing non-human animals. Meat consumption is how humans got where they are today. Humans are omnivores and their are people who live with that fact, get over it.
