This is my second Notion-made project for woodwind quartet. It is more of a mixed bag than the divertimento that I uploaded two days ago (in a video called "Woodwind Quartet - Notion 3"), the two outer movements being written with a mildly modernist approach, and the middle movement being a familiar-sounding mixture of Morricone-like, baroque-like and latino-like elements. Slightly post-modern, so to speak. Anyway, this short quartet represents another example of things you can do with Notion, which has become my preferred composition tool. It has been fun doing these exercises, and now I hopefully know Notion well enough to go on with more ambitious projects. Thank you for listening, and don't hesitate to post a comment or send me a message. Please contact me directly at otto.m.christensen@gmail.com if you want pdf-files of score & parts.

  • What program do you use to capture the video and also the great audio that notion creates

  • @minime02468 I use Screenflow, which runs on Mac only. If you are a Windows user, you could probably use Camtasia Studio to perform the same job as Screenflow.

  • AWESOME

  • Your second movement is outstanding! Is there a way I can buy this piece?

  • @slubbinn Thank you, slubbinn! Hope all is well on Iceland. I had a nice trip to your country some years ago, including a dreamy experience in the Blue Lagoon. Iceland is a great place indeed! Kind regards from Norway.
