@byku889 I looked up the story, his BAC was 1.48% not 14.8%. Which is still three times the lethal limit. He died several days later due to the injuries from the car crash though.

in America i heard that if your BAC was above a certain number they can't press charges against you because you are legally dead and you can't press charges against a dead person.

In 1995, a man in Wrocław, Poland, had a car accident. At the hospital, his Blood Alcohol Content was determined to be 14,8‰ (lethal dose >5,0‰). Concerned that their equipment was malfunctioning, doctors also performed five separate lab tests, all of which confirmed the man's blood alcohol content.
Yeah, we in Poland know how to drink vodka :))
