pre-alpha html level editor

Hey, this is a pre-alpha video of my level editor for my in-development PBBG, this editor was implemented using html, Canvas and jQuery.
The UI polls a back-end PHP script that basically accepts incoming messages and alters the level state, when faces are added, moved or removed the back-end PHP will re-draw that collection to tiles, which will then be downloaded by the client and displayed.

The next goal for this project is to get it so I can paint different faces with different tiles, allowing me to easily and quickly build a 2D world. The back-end PHP will automatically blend multiple tiles together, to give semi smooth transitions between a patch of grass, and a muddy bank.

As this is a web app, it should be entirely possible to implement collaborative editing, meaning multiple users can create game content within the same area, avoiding the need for SVN type software.

Progress is slow, but steady, hopefully have more for you in the coming months.

Heh, yeah that's why I started writing this, though I have kinda given up on it now :( maybe one day I'll clear the dust off and start working on it again.

Wow, that is very nice, this is just like what I need, I am making a pbbg at the moment and im currently designing the map by inputting 1 tile at a time into my database :/
