Judah is the southern kingdom: For Joseph the stick of Ephraim. Joseph is getting the inheritance through his son Ephraim. Ezek 37:15-20 Joseph authority is Ephraim. You cannot separate Ephraim from Joseph.
1 Kings 11:1-4 Solomon loved many strange (foreign) women. They turned away his heart. This is why you are not to be unequally yoked, because they can turn you from God. v5 He pursued the false gods. v9 God was angry with Solomon - he was celebrating Christ Mass. v11 The servant receives the kingdom because of his unfaithfulness to God.
