Ajax - arcade shooter, 1987

Ajax (A-Jax in Japan) is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game released by Konami in year 1987. Set during a fictional global war, the players control a "Tom Tiger" helicopter (in the 2D stage) and later a "Jerry Mouse" fighter jet (in the 3D stage), and shoot enemies in the air and bomb them on the ground, collecting power-ups and defeating bosses to advance levels.

This is a pretty unique arcade game...I like how it switches from 2-D to 3-D and it as some really great music in it too.

Music is a big factor. It plays a role in me liking the game.

Music is every bit as important as gameplay and graphics and i think people forget how much effort goes into making video game music.

Yes it's definitely hard to believe this is a 1987 game. Very impressive and detailed graphics.
