Got sax? American jazz meets Filipino "flavor" in an evening of culturally fused music! With Mon David (2006 London International Jazz Vocal Champion), contemporary saxophonist Ner de Leon, jazz guitarist Raffy Lopez and smooth jazz headliner Michael Paulo (who has played with everyone from Al Jarreau to Peter White), "Jazzmopolitan: The Filipino Gentlemen of Jazz" sparkles with songs and music from pop, American standards, bossa nova and smooth jazz genres, all with a bubbling undercurrent of Filipino-influenced beats and rhythms. World-renowned keyboardist Tateng Katindig (the Philippines' Oscar Peterson) and his band -- Abe Lagrimas (drums) and Dominic Thiroux (bass) -- back the "Gentlemen" as they provide an electric evening of finger-snapping, toe-tapping, betcha-never-heard-that-before music
present a fusion of American jazz and Filipino rhythms
