The eastern milk snake is a small beige snake with red or brown blotches outlined in black. It is found in oak groves and savannas in DuPage forest preserves. It is a member of the king snake family and eats other snakes. This milk snake is used in educational programs about native wildlife at Willowbrook Wildlife Center in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. It is handled by naturalist Kevin Luby. Willowbrook is owned and operated by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County.
