QUICKLY GINGER, STEAL THE BRASS THINGS!

I grew up listening to this as the theme tune to 'Dick Barton - Special Agent ' on the radio but it's only now that I have seriuosly heard it as a complete piece of music. I never knew what the piece was called or the composer.
It's still really exciting!

"Nobody expects the Spa...oh, bugger!"

It was actuallly brought to fame more by use as incidental music in various Monty Python sketches where running around was involved, Mitchell and Webb no doubt got the inspiration from that for thier Ceaser Salad character but Python emplyed it first which is more what I think of when I hear it, didnt even know it was the theme tune of a serious show

So much better than Yakkity Sax for comedic effect because it's more serious.

MONTY ON THE RUN!

On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!
