I think you might be right about that lack of "social interaction" theory. And i mean real deep intimate interaction.
So he goes to a self-help group to get real intimate, but when they discover his true purposes, they get angry and leave because he is not one of "them", hes just there for the interaction.
But i have no idea how the woman and the sexual urges from Magnus fit into this interpretation. Probably he doesnt know her, other than from the TV screen.

@Tomatomaten The song rather heavily that the person is in need of some sort of social interaction, or is just not satisfied by the superficial interaction "real life" has to offer. I'ts not even a specific emotion(love, hate, friendship or trust) but just that he wants to be "touched" by another human beeing. In this desperation he ends up in a self-help group, a place where people are barebone-honest, because anything they say is in the confidence that they won't be judged.
