Building A Live Steam Railroad with Master Model Builder Tom Miller.
When Tom was a boy, he built his first model locomotive with his dad. From then on he was hooked! Now a Master Model Builder, Tom has designed and built his own 2.5-inch scale live steam model railroad for his own 20-acre layout. In this program you will see Tom's entire layout, shop, the two K-36 locomotives he built, and some of the 60+ cars in his specially built car barn.

Stupid thing is,that at the steel mill when making rail it goes through an I shape casting die on the contiuos bottom casting line instead of a sqare or flat,it doesnt cost a penny more to make,so someones taking the piss when it comes to rail track sections in STEEL (not alot made of propper iron these days)

Yes, I was just talking the other day with a chap who managed to build his own fifteen inch gauge line and said that I was going to have to resort to steel bar because the cost of 10LB and 12LB Rail is ridiculous in UK!

wow, where is this? I'm just about to join a live steamers club and their railroad is nowhere near as nice as this one.

Couldnt do this in the UK where they want £200 for a metre of ALUMINIUM track with PLASTIC ties, and £30 for a square foot sheet of brass.
